The Hammer Hill ( English for Hammer Hill ) is an approximately 500 m high hill on Elephant Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the northernmost point on the island and rises south of Cape Yelcho .
Scientists from the UK Joint Services Expedition to Elephant Island (1970–1971) named it descriptively after its appearance.
