Hamza Brigade
The Hamza Brigade is an armed opposition group in the Syrian civil war, particularly supported by part of the Sunni majority of the population in Syria . She belongs to the Free Syrian Army .
The brigade was trained and armed by the United States and Turkey as part of the Syrian Train and Equip Program . Their primary goal is to fight the Islamic State . There are also skirmishes with the government troops under the command of President Bashar al-Assad and with those warring parties that are allied with them , such as Hezbollah . There are also occasional skirmishes with the democratic forces of Syria . The Hamza Brigade is one of the largest participating groups in Operation Euphrates Shield .
Fighters from the Kurdish People's Defense Units carried out a fatal attack on a militiaman from the Hamza Brigade in the Afrin region, which was occupied by Turkey and its rebel organizations allied with Turkey .
