Hana Abdi
Hana Abdi ( Iranian women's rights activist .
) is anAbdi is a psychology student. She got involved in the Azarmehr Association of Women of Kurdistan and took part in the " One Million Signatures Campaign " for more women's rights in Iran. On November 4, 2007, she was arrested by seven secret service agents at her grandfather's house in Sanandaj and sentenced to five years in prison in June 2008 on "security charges".
On October 7, her sentence was reduced to 1.5 years and her exile was lifted, and she was finally released on March 17, 2009 after serving her sentence.
