Hanako Games is a British developer and publisher of video games, mainly Adventures and computer role-playing games in the anime style.

Company history

Founded Hanako Games 2003 by Georgina Bensley . Their games are mainly designed for female gamers and often contain elements of fantasy . Hanako Games is a partner of Tycoon Games , Winter Wolves and sakevisual . Well-known games include Fatal Hearts , Cute Knight , Summer Session , Science Girls , Date Warp and Magical Diary . The games are mostly for Microsoft Windows , Mac OS and Linux .

Since the beginning of 2015, Hanako Games has also been publishing visual novels under the name Hanabira that were not written by Georgina Bensley. The first game under this label, entitled Sword Daughter , was released on January 5, 2015. The story was originally a so-called game book that was published in the 1980s. In 2016, the game A Littly Lily Princess was released under the Hanabira brand. It's a visual novel with raising sim elements and is based on the novel Sara, the Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett .

Black Closet was a finalist in the Excellence in Narrative category at the 2016 Independent Games Festival.
