Hand of fatima (mountain)
The hand of Fatima (French Main de Fatima ) is the name of a rock massif in Mali near Hombori on the road from Mopti to Gao . The sandstone pinnacles are named according to the symbol of the hand of Fatima , which is used as a magic defense in Islamic popular belief. Other names are Gami Tondo and Aiguilles de Gami . They are a popular destination for mountaineers.
