Hand Aberd ( Armenian Հանդաբերդ ) is a former Armenian monastery near the eponymous castle ruins in the province shahumyan region of the de facto independent, but de jure Azerbaijan associated Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Handaberd is located in the north of the province in a wooded mountain landscape 15 km northeast of the provincial capital, near the road that connects Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia via the Sotk Pass.
history
Based on a building inscription, the time of construction of the complex can be dated to 1276. The monastery still consists of a domed church, a chapel connected to it and a bell tower a little north of the complex.
