Handicraft fabrics

A handicraft fabric is a special fabric for hand embroidery on which handicraft techniques such as B. Cross stitch , Hardanger , hemstitch, counted decorative stitches can be embroidered.

The fabric must be woven square, i.e. H. have exactly the same thread count in warp and weft . The square structure should be retained even after washing. Furthermore, the fabric should be so open that the threads can easily be counted. A clear fabric structure makes embroidery easier.
