The work, called the “ Compendium of Accuracy” in a review in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , with its around 9,000 short biographies contains not only writers “who have shaped the intellectual life of Austria since the 18th century”, but also personalities from the fields of journalism, science, Publishing and culture ranging from music to film, who were born within the respective historical Austrian borders, lived there for more than 10 years or who were Austrian citizens. Particular emphasis was placed on personalities "who are in danger of being forgotten because they had published only a few works before their careers were violently ended."
