Handbook of the constellations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Handbook of the Constellations (since the 5th edition: Handbook of the Constellations ) by the authors Hans Vehrenberg and Dieter Blank is a large-format star atlas . For years it was considered one of the standard works for amateur astronomers to quickly find their way around the constellations and celestial objects .

The star maps on the right-hand pages of the book are compared to the data of the most important stars and other objects on the left.

Even today the book is still popular and widespread. From the 5th edition in 1987, the German and English editions were merged. The book was distributed by Treugesell-Verlag from Düsseldorf.
