In 2000 she released her first studio album, Senden İbaret . Yener gained fame especially in Turkey with songs like Yalanın Batsın , Ben Yoluma , Kırmızı , Kelepçe , Romeo , Ya Ya Ya Ya , Naber , Sebastian and Mor . She was u. a. Awarded five times the Turkish Altın Kelebek Music Prize and four times the Kral Türkiye Müzik Ödülü.
Yener was born on January 12, 1973 in Kadıköy, a district of Istanbul . Even while she was still at school, she wanted to become a singer, but Yener's parents refused her. They aspired to get Yener to attend Erenköy College and graduate there. However, she left the facility during the second grade and received private tuition from then on. In 1992, Yener met the well-known singer Sezen Aksu . Aksu suggested that she work as a background singer. Both singers then performed in various bars across the city, mainly in the Suadiye district. On May 31, 2000 she released her first debut album, Senden İbaret, in collaboration with Altan Çetin . Their fourth album Apayrı was produced entirely by Bülent Aris at Booya Music in Hamburg . The first video about it ( Kelepçe ) was shot in London. The album reportedly sold 150,000 copies in 5 days and was among the ten best-selling albums in Turkey in 2006.
In the years that followed, Hande Yener developed into a Turkish pop icon. In the 20 years since her debut album was released, she released 14 albums.
Her style of music and appearance is often compared to that of Madonna . In 2008 she played the "gay icon " in the film Kraliçe Fabrika'da .
From 1990 to 1994 she was married to Uğur Kulaçoğlu. The couple has a son, Çağın Kulaçoğlu, who is a musically active DJ himself and has played with Yener hits Bakıçaz and Sana Bir Şey Olmaz .
