Act instead of hope
Acting instead of hoping is a non-fiction book on environmental policy published by Droemer Knaur in 2019 . It was written by Carola Rackete with the assistance of the author and environmental activist Anne Weiss .
content
Rackete explains in her book that we are at a turning point in human history, since man-made climate change threatens, in the worst case, global collapse, so that by 2050 a quarter of humanity would no longer have access to drinking water. That would lead to a major climate migration and the current generation would be the last who could still manage to avert the climate crisis . She thinks the approach of Extinction Rebellion , which tries to enforce measures for the protection of the environment through civil disobedience, is promising .
