Hemp soup

The hemp soup is a Silesian dish that is prepared on Christmas Eve . The seeds of industrial hemp are used for the preparation .

The hemp soup is traditionally served as the first dish on Christmas Eve. In preparation, you boil the hemp seeds several times in water and collect the resulting broth until no more milky liquid can be obtained. Then bind the broth with millet flour and season the soup with salt, pepper and sugar. Milk or cream can also be added to the soup .
