Hanna Fearns

Hanna Fearns (born August 31, 1966 ) is a German country and folk singer with German-British roots. Fearns now also appears as a singer-songwriter. Rolling Stone Magazine describes her style of music as somewhere between " folk rock and country noir".

Musical career

Fearns lived for several years in Konstanz on Lake Constance and founded the band Easy Country there , which mainly played cover versions. After Fearns began composing himself, the band was renamed fearns . After the LPs Impatient Heart (2002) and Fearns Live - Beyond Expectations (2008), the band broke up. Hanna Fearns moved to Cologne and came in contact with the producer Hubl Greiner , who accompanied the idea of ​​a solo album. Since 2013 Fearns has been working and touring with Ken Stringfellow , who was a bassist and singer with Big Star from 1994 to 2010 and was also a tour and studio musician with REM between 1999 and 2005. Fearns released her first solo album in 2014 under the title Sentimental Bones . Fearn's album, released in 2018, is titled Turn on the light and includes both cover versions and own compositions.
