Hannelore Birkholz

Hannelore Birkholz (born September 17, 1940 in Finsterwalde ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). From 1990 to 2003 she was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament for the PDS .

Life

After graduating from high school, Birkholz trained as an infant and pediatric nurse at the medical college and then worked in this profession until 1962. She then studied human medicine at the Bucharest Medical Academy, the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald and the Humboldt University of Berlin . From 1968 until her election to the state parliament, she worked as a pediatrician. Birkholz has two children.

Birkholz has been a member of the Elbe-Elster district council since 1993 . In addition, she was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament from 1990 to 2003, always moving in via the state list. There she was a member of the Committee on Labor, Health, Social Affairs and Women, since 1994 as its chairman. In 2004 she was a substitute member for the 12th Federal Assembly .
