Hannes Niederhauser

Hannes Niederhauser (born November 25, 1962 in Linz ) is an Austrian entrepreneur.

Life

Niederhauser studied electrical engineering at Graz University of Technology (where he worked, among other things, as a developer for microchips and in the embedded computer segment). Between 1999 and 2007, as a major shareholder and CEO, he initially built Kontron AG into the world's largest provider in the field of embedded computing before starting his involvement with S&T , where he is currently CEO. Kontron, which ran into financial difficulties in 2013, has since been taken over by S&T and expanded by Niederhauser into a high-turnover IoT area . He also ascribes great importance to edge computing .
