Hannes Otahal (* 18th August 1960 in Klosterneuburg , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian Blues - Boogie Woogie - and country music - pianist .

biography

Hannes Otahal was already on national and international jazz stages at a young age, even before his classical piano studies.

His focus was always on the authentic interpretation of boogie classics. In addition to his solo concerts, he performed with the "Mojo Blues Band" at the "Stars of Boogie-Woogie Gala" in the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus.

Numerous tours with stars such as Axel Zwingenberger and the American jazz pianist Ray Bryant followed.

He has accompanied stars such as Wanda Jackson, Linda Gail Lewis, Tommy Cash, Bill Haley's Comets, Narvel Felts, Charlie McCoy, Norma Jean, Stonewall Jackson and Billy Jo Spears, and he has played the piano part in internationally known groups such as "5 in love" "," Girly & The Blue Caps "," New West "," Route 66 "or the" Legendary Daltons ".

He increasingly encourages and teaches young musicians from the boogie-woogie scene. For this purpose, since the beginning of the new millennium, he has been realizing classic boogie compositions in the form of notes.

Together with his new management Gustfuss®-Records he worked on the new edition of his successful album "Boogie-Woogie Reminiscences", as well as on innovative compositions for a brand new album. Some of his works, including his version of "Bumble Boogie", are now also available in sheet form from GUSTFUSS® Records.
