Tyrolis Music ( label code LC 08453) is a music label for traditional music based in Zirl , Austria . The label has branches in Switzerland and Germany. The family company was founded in 1967 by Helmut Rasinger. The TYROLIS Musik AG branch was founded in 1988 and is based in Eschen , Liechtenstein .

The company includes recording studios, an MC production facility, several music publishers, its own extensive master catalog and a hotel. In addition, Tyrolis has international third-party labels in sales. In addition to traditional music, the company has other styles of music and audio books in its range.

Artists have been awarded over 200 gold and platinum records.

history

The label, founded in 1967, is at home in the field of traditional music. Initially, the company made the largest sales with music cassettes due to the significantly lower production costs compared to records . Music cassettes were the dominant medium in the folk music segment in the 1970s. In the 1980s, Tyrolis took a foray into rock music . In 1985 the label produced an LP for the local new wave band "Garantiert Sendeverbot". A sampler with regional artists followed in 1989.
