Wilfried Rösch and his Bohemian Friends was a brass band from southern Germany. 25 musicians were active in the formation. The musical direction was subordinate to Wilfried Rösch, the management to Klaus Huber. Many of the pieces by the band were composed by Rösch himself.

history

Wilfried Rösch and his Original Bohemian

In 1987 Wilfried Rösch founded the Wilfried Rösch Wind Orchestra and the original Bohemian amateur musicians. This project ended at the height of its popularity in 2000. Mathias Gronert, who now leads his own orchestra, also played in this band.

Wilfried Rösch and his Bohemian friends

After a two-year break, Rösch returned to the brass music scene with his new orchestra Wilfried Rösch and his Bohemian friends . The opening tour started in November 2002 with five concerts and was sold out. The orchestra is particularly noticeable for its distinctive style of playing (dynamics, tempos, style changes, exaggerations ...), traditional brass music pieces are reinterpreted and literally "celebrated".

In 2013 Rösch announced that he would be relinquishing the leadership of the orchestra, which meant the end of the Bohemian Friends . There was a big farewell tour in 2014 and 2015. Due to the high demand, further appearances followed between October 2017 and April 2018 under the name Projektorchester Wilfried Rösch with Bohemian friends .
