Gerda Gabriel (born January 24, 1956 in Könnern ) is a German singer of the folk music and hit scene .

Life

Gerda Gabriel comes from a musical family, learned the trumpet and accordion, played in the fanfare procession and sang in the school choir. She studied process chemistry at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . She later switched from process chemistry to music and studied singing at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar . In 1979 the TV show "Der Mann aus Colorado" was produced in Karl-Marx-Stadt and Dean Reed brought Gerda Gabriel into his show.
