Radio Herz is a German-speaking private radio broadcaster in Canada . It has been on the air since November 1, 1998 and is operated by German Broadcast Inc. Since March 1, 2010, the station has been in Waterloo ( Ontario ), the previous broadcast studio in Oakville (Ontario) was given up after the industrial building was sold by the owner.
Radio Herz, which calls itself "home station", broadcasts a 24-hour entertainment program with folk music , hits and news . Most of the employees at this station are Germans who have lived in Canada for many years, but programs are also produced in Germany , Austria and Switzerland .
According to its own information, Radio Herz can be received via cable (Rogers), satellite (Bell ExpressVu) and the Internet . Since April 1, 2009, Radio Herz can only be heard by paying members on its own website.
Radio Herz is financed exclusively through membership fees and donations. A chat room is connected to the website, in which the moderators can be addressed directly during live broadcasts and music requests can be expressed.
