Hannibal orgas

Hannibal (Annibal) Orgas (* around 1575 in Ancona ? † July 5, 1629 in Cracow ) was an Italian conductor and composer .

Life

After studying in Rome with Asprilio Pacelli at the Collegium Germanicum, he was first conductor there for a few years (1610 to 1616). From 1622 he worked in Krakow as cathedral music director.

Little is known of his supposedly extensive work. In addition to two four-part motets, there are only 22 polyphonic vocal works.
