Hanno Müller-Kirchenbauer (born March 7, 1934 in Gotha ; † May 10, 2004 ) was a German civil engineer specializing in geotechnical engineering.

Müller-Kirchenbauer studied at the TH Karlsruhe , where he took his diploma in 1959 and received his doctorate in 1964 ( on the mechanics of flowing sand formation and hydraulic ground failure ). During his studies in 1954 he became a member of the Tuiskonia fraternity in Karlsruhe .

After completing his studies, he went to the Technical University of Berlin , where he became professor of geotechnical engineering in 1972. From 1987 he was a professor at the Leibniz University in Hanover . In Berlin he is the founder of the engineering office Müller-Kirchenbauer und Partner (MKP).

Müller-Kirchenbauer dealt in particular with soil injections, chemical soil consolidation and their ecological effects, diaphragm walls and the behavior for their production of the suspensions used, regressive erosion in dykes and dams, landfill sealing and their permeability behavior for chemical substances.
