Mostly Protestant Christians and other people interested in questions of life and faith meet there.

Different age and target groups are reached with different offers. For adults there are Bible talks and home groups, community hours or evening services . In many places there is an event for all age groups, as well as child and youth work, women's initiatives and family offers, counseling and pastoral care, in some places choirs, singing groups or instrumental groups. In addition, there are leisure activities and holiday measures, as well as project groups and seminars - for example on questions of life and getting to know the Bible.

More than 1,000 voluntary workers and 25 full-time theological workers help shape the events and initiatives of the regional church communities. The most important publication of the association is the bimonthly magazine WIR + with a regional section for Lower Saxony.
