Hanns Martin Schleyer Foundation

The Hanns Martin Schleyer Foundation supports scientists from the fields of economics, law and cultural studies. It was founded in 1977 by the Confederation of German Employers' Associations and the Federation of German Industry and named after the murdered employer president Hanns Martin Schleyer .

The foundation is based in Cologne . It awards the Friedwart Bruckhaus-Förderpreis , the Hanns Martin Schleyer-Preis and the Universitas-Preis for science journalism .
