Hanns Martin Trautner

Hanns Martin Trautner (* 1943 in Wiesbaden ) is a German developmental psychologist .

After graduating from high school in Wiesbaden, he studied psychology at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 1962 to 1966 and graduated with a diploma. 1966–1969 he was a DFG research assistant at the Department of Educational Psychology at the Ruhr University Bochum , where he received his doctorate. 1969–1972 he was a scientist. Assistant at the Psychological Institute at the University of Mainz, 1972–1974 assistant professor and from 1981 professor for developmental psychology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster . In 1995 he went to the Bergische Universität Wuppertal as a professor until 2008 . He had guest stays at the Universidad de Costa Rica and at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in Lima (funded by the DAAD) from 2001-2003.

His main focus was gender differentiation.
