Hans-Christian Biallas (born December 26, 1956 in Hanover ) is a Protestant theologian, politician and President of the Hanover Monastery Chamber .

Life and work

After attending grammar school in Soltau and Buxtehude , Biallas studied Protestant theology in Göttingen , Kiel and Amsterdam . In 1981 he became vicar in Preetz and worked from 1983 to 1994 as a pastor in the Altenbruch district of Cuxhaven . He is divorced and has three children.

politics

Biallas has been a member of the CDU since 1992. Since 1994 he has been a member of the board of the CDU district association in Stade.
In 1994 he was elected a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament. Before moving to the monastery chamber, he was the parliamentary group spokesman for the Interior, Sport and Integration until June 2011.
In 1995 he became chairman of the CDU city association of Cuxhaven, and from 1996 he is also a councilor and councilor of the city council.

Monastery Chamber of Hanover

Following a resolution by the Lower Saxony state cabinet, Biallas succeeded Sigrid Maier-Knapp-Herbst as President of the Hanover Monastery Chamber on June 1, 2011 .
