Hans-Günther Roßbach

Hans-Günther Roßbach (* 1951 in Bonn ) is a German educational scientist and educational researcher.

Roßbach studied pedagogy, psychology and sociology in Bonn, Cologne and Münster (Westphalia), graduating in 1977 as a qualified pedagogue. In 1981 he was promoted to Dr. phil. doctorate, in 1993 he completed his habilitation. From 1995 to 2002 he was professor for general didactics / teaching research at the University of Lüneburg . Since 2002 he has held the chair for elementary and family education at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg . From 1 August 2012 to 31 March 2017 was Hans-Günther Rossbach head of NEPS (National Educational Panel Study, NEPS). Hans-Günther Roßbach is the founding director of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, which has been running the National Educational Panel and other studies in the field of educational research since January 1, 2014.

Roßbach is co-editor of the Zeitschrift für Erziehungswissenschaft and is on the advisory board of the journals Diskurs Kindheits- und Jugendforschung , Empirische Pädagogik and Zeitschrift für Familienforschung .
