Hans-Georg Hermann

Hans-Georg Hermann (born February 6, 1963 in Mühldorf am Inn ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

After graduating from high school in Mühldorf am Inn and working for two years as a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr, Hermann began studying law at the University of Munich in 1984 . He finished his studies in 1990 with the first state examination in law. After completing his legal clerkship at the Munich Higher Regional Court , Hermann passed his second state examination in 1993. He then worked as a research assistant for Hermann Nehlsen at the University of Munich. There he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. In 2004 he concluded with the previously unpublished text Daz sint der pvrger rechts. Exception and standard in the late medieval city law landscape of old Bavaria: The city law of the Salzburg enclave completed his habilitation and received the venia legendi for the subjects civil law, German legal history, Bavarian legal history, modern private law history and contemporary legal history. Since the 2005/06 winter semester, Hermann has been Professor of Civil Law, German Legal History, Bavarian Legal History and Contemporary Legal History at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
