Hans-Hermann Clever (born December 5, 1956 in Godorf ) is a German correspondence chess player . He bears the title of Honored International Master

He received this title from the ICCF in 2010 . He received the title of International Correspondence Chess Master in 2003.

In semifinals 17 of the 29th World Correspondence Chess Championship (WC29 / SF17) he achieved 2nd place with 8.5 out of 12 possible points and was therefore allowed to take part in the WCCC29T01 candidates' tournament.

In the decisive game against the grandmaster Vladimir Hefka , he only achieved a draw despite two extra pawns , which was enough to achieve 2nd place with 7.5 out of 12 possible points and thus the right to participate in the final of the 28th World Correspondence Chess Championship, which started on June 10, 2013.

His rating in correspondence chess is 2528 (as of July 1, 2014).
