Hans-Jürgen Hiby
Hans-Jürgen Hiby (born September 9, 1941 in Wuppertal ) is a German sculptor . He creates wood, metal and stone sculptures.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1961, he took up art education studies in Düsseldorf, Main and Bonn until 1964. From 1964 to 1965 he attended the master school for sculpture in Vienna with Professor Fritz Wotruba . From 1966 to 1967 he continued his art education studies in Mainz and completed it with the state examination.
He then worked for many years as a senior teacher for art at the Sedanstraße high school in Wuppertal.

Many of his works can be seen in public spaces in Wuppertal, such as the fountain on the Wichlinghauser Markt and the Playing Fingers in the courtyard of the former Simonstraße secondary school (formerly on Gutenbergplatz near the Pestalozzistraße suspension railway station ).
His works can be viewed in the Von-der-Heydt Museum and other temporary exhibitions.
