Hans-Joachim Gottschol

Hans-Joachim Gottschol (born August 23, 1927 in Hagen ; † February 2, 2007 there ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

He studied metallurgy in Clausthal-Zellerfeld and did his doctorate in Aachen . From 1954 he headed his father's company Metallwerke-Krauthausen KG in Ennepetal . The company invested in eastern Germany after reunification. The company went bankrupt in 1996.

From 1983 Gottschol was chairman of the Märkischer employers' association and from 1985 negotiator of the North Rhine-Westphalian metal industry.

From 1992 to 1996 Gottschol was President of Gesamtmetall .
