Hans-Joachim Schwager

Hans-Joachim Schwager (born February 3, 1929 in Bunzlau , Silesia, † March 26, 2004 in Bielefeld ) was a German theologian and pedagogue and professor of pedagogy at Bielefeld University .

Life

Schwager studied theology at the Universities of Erlangen , Heidelberg and Münster . In 1959 he received his doctorate . From 1959 to 1966 he was a teacher and educator at the Paul Gerhardt School in Dassel . From 1966 to 1973 he headed the Hermannsburg college and taught church history at the Theological Academy in Celle . At the Von Bodelschwingh Foundation Bethel , he was Head of Education until 1994. Finally, until 2002, he headed the Epilepsy Information Center in Bielefeld. In 1993 he was also Professor of Education in Bielefeld. In 2004 the book Die Sonderschule was published as a school for the poor , of which he was co-author. Before that, he was already a co-author of Help Systems for Pupils' Health Problems and Introduction to Special Education Theory .

Honors

Schwager was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on May 19, 1994 .
