Hans-Michael Heitmüller

Hans-Michael Heitmüller (born November 13, 1944 in Pulsnitz ) is a German manager in the financial sector. From 1999 to 2010 he was CEO of Deutsche Leasing AG .

Life

Heitmüller began his professional career in 1960 as a trainee at the Kreissparkasse Bernkastel-Trier. In 1965 he moved to Kreissparkasse Köln , where he held various managerial positions, most recently as regional director. In 1980 he was appointed CEO of the Kreissparkasse Obernburg-Klingenberg. On January 1, 1988, under his leadership, the merger with the Kreissparkasse Miltenberg-Amorbach to form Sparkasse Miltenberg-Obernburg took place. From 1989 he was a managing board member of the German Savings Banks and Giro Association in Bonn. Between October 1999 and July 2010, Heitmüller was Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Leasing AG, Bad Homburg.

At the end of the nineties he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his services to building up the financial system in the new federal states.

Hans-Michael Heitmüller is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Don Bosco Youth Third World Foundation.
