Hans-Peter Vertacnik

Hans-Peter Vertacnik (born October 20, 1956 in Leoben ) is an Austrian author .

Live and act

Vertacnik initially published poetry . In the novels Abfangjäger and Ultimo published from 2007 on, Lieutenant Colonel Zoff is at the center of the events. In the novel Rosentod , with which the author pays homage to his hometown Leoben, Chief Inspector Ulla Spärlich is her husband at the Leoben police station. In the book Danube Wolves , which deals with the infiltration of society through criminal networks, Major Radek Kubica, who comes from Poland, sets the first fragrance brand in Austria's capital Vienna. The novel Totenvogel is the second book in the series. It is about the murder of the charismatic and unscrupulous interior minister who shocked all of Austria. Was it his greed for sex, money and power that became the politician's undoing? When Colonel Radek Kubica tries to get to the bottom of things, he reveals a secret that he should never have come across.

He had to end his career as chief police officer because of an accident at work in 2011. He completed his training at the Master School Screenwriting Berlin.

Vertacnik lives in Krenglbach near Wels (Upper Austria).
