Hans-Werner Schwarz (born September 21, 1946 in Berleburg ) is a German politician. He was Vice President of the 16th Lower Saxony State Parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Schwarz went to the Bundeswehr for four years and became captain of the reserve. He then studied mathematics, sports and geography for teaching at primary and secondary schools. Until his election to the state parliament, he worked at the Jahn School in Diepholz.

politics

Schwarz has been a member of the FDP since 1973 . He is chairman of the Diepholz district association and deputy chairman of the Osnabrück district. He is also a member of the Lower Saxony FDP state board.

From 1980 to 2020, Schwarz was councilor of the city of Diepholz. From 1996 to 1999 and from 2003 to 2005 he was the mayor there. From 1986 to 2011 he was a member of the district council in the Diepholz district and from 1996 to 2003 deputy district administrator . He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 2003 to 2013. On February 26, 2008, Schwarz was elected Vice President of the 16th Lower Saxony State Parliament. He held this office until 2013.
