Hans Anschütz

Hans Anschütz (born August 5, 1901 ; † April 3, 1980 ) was a German lawyer, city councilor of the city of Heidelberg and president of the regional courts of Heidelberg and Mannheim , as well as president of the state court of Baden-Württemberg .

Life

Anschütz was a son of Gerhard Anschütz , professor of public law at Heidelberg University . After the Second World War , Anschütz became President of the Regional Court in Heidelberg in 1948 , President of the Regional Court in Mannheim in 1958 and was President of the State Court of Baden-Württemberg from 1964 to 1970. From 1951 to 1968 he was a member of the Heidelberg City Council for the FDP and from 1953 chairman of the parliamentary group.

Private

In 1932, Anschütz married Liselotte Köster, (widowed in 1928, née Fraenkel; a daughter of Albert Fraenkel ). He is buried in the Anschütz family grave next to his father and wife Lieselotte in the Heidelberg mountain cemetery.
