Hans Czidlik

Hans Czidlik (born January 8, 1909 in Neunkirchen (Lower Austria); † February 15, 1969 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and sales manager. Czidlik was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1960 to 1969 .

Czidlik attended elementary and community school and completed a master craftsman course. He worked for the Semperit company , but was fired in 1930 and then became sales manager for a newspaper. When the Social Democratic Party was banned, Czidlik fled in 1934 and began building an illegal party organization. He was arrested for this and sentenced to two years in prison. After the National Socialists came to power, Czidlik was arrested again in 1938 and then worked again at Semperit. After the Second World War he was employed as a state employee between 1945 and 1950, and in 1951 he became sales manager of the Arbeiter-Zeitung . In the political arena he was active as SPÖ district party leader after the Second World War. He was also a city councilor in Neunkirchen between 1955 and 1967 and a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from June 23, 1960 until his death.
