Hans Holtzbecher
Hans Holtzbecher (born February 22, 1861 in Berlin ; † 1935 there ) was a German portrait and nude painter.
Hans Holtzbecher studied painting from 1877 to 1884 at the Royal Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin under Max Michael , Otto Knille and Paul Thumann . Holtzbecher visited Paris several times and also undertook study trips to the Netherlands and Italy .
He mainly created portraits of women and nudes as well as genre pictures and still lifes.
His caricatures appeared from 1885 to 1890 in the satirical magazine Ulk from Rudolf Mosse Verlag.
