Hans Jakob Pestalozzi
Hans Jakob Pestalozzi (born August 13, 1707 in Bad Grönenbach , Bavaria, † April 24, 1782 in Zurich ) was a Swiss entrepreneur .
Life
Hans Jakob Pestalozzi was born as the son of the Reformed pastor Hans Jakob Pestalozzi and his wife Dorothea, née Wirz. In 1728 he married Ester Jonquiére, daughter of a Bernese silk manufacturer. In the same year he also joined the saffron guild . In 1759, together with Hans Heinrich Frey, he founded the silk manufacturing and banking house Frey & Pestalozzi , which only existed in this form until 1787.
