Hans Jennes

Hans Jennes (born December 10, 1910 in Düsseldorf , † September 30, 1990 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament of the Communist Party of Germany .

Life and work

After attending school, Jennes completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and worked as a machine fitter. In 1923 he joined the metalworkers' association and the communist youth association. In 1930 he became a member of the KPD. From 1932 he was district leader of the Communist Youth Association. After doing illegal political work from 1933 onwards, he emigrated until 1940. Jennes was sentenced to four years in prison by the People's Court for preparation for high treason.

From July 5, 1950 to May 2, 1951 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Jennes was elected from his party's state list and resigned during the May 2, 1951 electoral term.
