Hans Kellner (politician, 1929)

Hans Kellner (born January 15, 1929 in Zwentendorf an der Donau , † November 9, 2005 in Tulln an der Donau ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and agriculture teacher. From 1969 to 1984 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Kellner graduated from the Francisco Josephinum and passed the Matura. He joined the agricultural school service in 1948 and became a teacher in 1955 and director of the agricultural college in Tulln on the Danube in 1969. From 1955 he was involved in the local council, and between 1960 and 1970 he was Vice Mayor of Zwentendorf. Furthermore, he was active from 1968 as the ÖVP main district party chairman in the Tulln district . Kellner was again a local councilor from 1970 and again served as vice mayor between 1975 and 1984. In addition, Kellner represented the ÖVP between November 20, 1969 and November 5, 1984 in the state parliament and was club chairman of the ÖVP state parliament club between 1974 and 1984. He resigned from his position in 1984 for health reasons. In addition to his political commitment, Kellner was Vice President from 1972 and President of the Lower Austrian Red Cross from 1983 to 1999 and Vice President of the Austrian Red Cross from 1994 to 1999.

A foundation was set up on the occasion of Kellner's 70th birthday. The foundation's task is to honor Red Cross employees for their outstanding achievements and their commitment within the framework of the Red Cross. 2017, 2018, 2019
