Hans Netzer

Hans Netzer (born September 28, 1935 in Völklingen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Netzer worked as a rolling mill at the Völklinger Hütte and qualified as a social economist. From 1978 he was chairman of the local association of the SPD in Heidstock . From 1975 to 1989 he was a member of the Saarland Landtag, of which he was also Vice President. From 1989 to 2003 he was Lord Mayor of Völklingen.

Netzer is now president and honorary president of the Völklingen gymnastics club . He is honorary president of the Saarland Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association and honorary chairman of the SPD Völklingen-Mitte. The Hans Netzer Hall in Völklingen was named after him.
