Hans Petter Graver
Hans Petter Graver (born November 5, 1955 ) is a professor at the Institute for Private Law (at the Faculty of Law) at the University of Oslo .
After studying at the University of Oslo, he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . His dissertation is entitled "Den juristskapte virkelighet" ( The reality created by law ). In 1993 he was appointed Professor of Sociology of Law at the Faculty of Law. His teaching assignment is in the area of administrative law. He has written numerous books and articles, including a. on administrative law, legal sociology, legal history, legal theory, argumentation and rhetoric.
Graver is President of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences . He received honorary doctorates from Helsinki University (2010), Heidelberg University (2017) and Uppsala University (2019). He is an honorary member of the Legal Society of Finland.
