Hans Schröers
Hans Schröers (born August 22, 1903 in Düsseldorf ; † March 16, 1969 there ) was a painter from Düsseldorf .
Life
From 1924 he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Willy Spatz and Franz Kiederich , whose master class he later became. In 1930 he became a member of the Rhenish Secession and belonged to the circle around Mother Ey . At the invitation of the art association for the Rhineland and Westphalia , he worked in 1935 in the newly founded artists' colony Kronenburg in the Eifel. With a grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , he went on a trip to Italy with the painter Kurt Neyers and the sculptor Clemens Pasch in 1952.
He was a member of the board of directors in the Düsseldorf paint box for several years.
The main focus was on landscape paintings, cityscapes and still lifes. In addition to participating in group exhibitions, he exhibited in Düsseldorf in 1946 in Hella Nebelung's gallery . In 1948 and 1954 he had solo exhibitions in the municipal gallery of Schloss Oberhausen . After his death, the Düsseldorf artist association Malkasten organized exhibitions of his works in 1970, 1973 and 1989.
