Hansruedi Baumann

Hansruedi Baumann (born October 3, 1960 ) is a Swiss football coach and former football player ( striker ).

Career

After being promoted from the 1st league to National League B with FC Thun in the 1996/1997 season, Baumann ended his football career at its peak. The striker scored the decisive goal in the promotion game against FC Tuggen .

After a break and trainer training, Baumann took over the U-18 team at FC Thun in the summer of 2000 . In the following years he became Swiss champions in U-18 junior football with this team.

After moving to FC Spiez in 2005 and immediately promoted to the 2nd Interregional league, Baumann was brought back to FC Thun the following summer. There he took over the new U-21 team, with which he entered the 2nd regional division. Many of the players he worked with in the U-18s were back in his U-21 squad. In the first year the team was promoted to the 2nd Interregional league. In the 2007/2008 season, the team managed to establish itself in the fourth-highest Swiss league and reached third place in the table.

After the relegation of FC Thun in 2007/08 to the Challenge League and the dismissal of René Van Eck , Hansruedi Baumann was appointed to the first team on May 29, 2008, his contract ran until the end of the 2008/09 season. After a quite acceptable preliminary round, some major defeats followed in the spring and Baumann was removed from his position shortly before the end of the season.

Since the 2009/10 season he has coached the first team of FC Interlaken.

He is married and has three children.
