Harald Gfader

Harald Gfader (* 1960 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian painter and sound concept artist.

Life

Gfader studied from 1985 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Tasquil (visual design). From 1987 he was a master student of Adolf Frohner (painting). Since 1992 he has carried out art concepts with marginalized groups . Due to an illness, his artistic work was limited from 1995 to 1997. During this time he dealt with sounds . Gfader works in the artistic teacher training at the University of Education in Vorarlberg and gives guest lectures at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. He is also involved in further training in art therapy. In addition, Gfader is responsible for the establishment of a collection on Art-brut and children's drawings in the " vorarlberg museum ". Through the association "milK_Ressort" (Mitten im Land Kunst_Ressort), Gfader tries to make art accessible away from the cultural metropolises. As a co-founder of the contemporary art fair "Art Bodensee", Gfader offers up-and-coming artists the opportunity to present themselves through the "Featured Artist" program.

He lives in Italy and Vorarlberg .
