Haraldur Benediktsson

Haraldur Benediktsson (born January 23, 1966 in Akranes ) is an Icelandic politician ( Independence Party ).

Haraldur had been a farmer on the Vestri-Reynir farm at Akranes since 1995. He worked in various agricultural organizations, including from 2004 to 2013 as chairman of the Icelandic Farmers' Association (Bændasamtök Íslands).

Since the Icelandic parliamentary election on April 27, 2013 , Haraldur has been a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the Northwestern constituency . As of September 2017, he is a member of the Althing Constitutional and Oversight Committee and is chairman of the budget committee.
