Hard Boiled is a Cyberpunk - Comic -Groteske by Americans Frank Miller (text) and Geof Darrow (drawings).

The android Nixon does immense damage to his job as a tax collector in a dystopian, overpopulated America of the future. He himself thinks he is leading a completely normal family life. Another cyborg, disguised as an old woman, tells him his actual mission: He is supposed to rebel against his own manufacturing company Willeford in order to be able to free the other robots. However, he fails because of the overwhelming power of the company and is finally reprogrammed to become a “common man”.

The mini-series was published in three issues from 1990 to 1992 by Dark Horse Comics . In 1993 an anthology was published by the publisher. In 2017 an anthology, newly colored by Dave Stewart, was published.

In Germany, the stories appeared in Schwermetall from 1991 and then in two albums by the publisher. In 2008 an anthology was published by Cross Cult and in 2018 the newly colored anthology.
