Hard Bass or Hard Bass ( Russian хардбасс , khardbass; xɐrdbas ) is a subgenre of electronic music with a clock speed from 150 to 170 BPM . It originated in Russia in the 2000s and was inspired by British hard house , bouncy techno, scouse house, powerstomp and hardstyle .
Hardbass is characterized by donks, distinctive basslines , distorted sounds, subtle kicks and occasional rap interludes.
Hard bass became a central element of the Gopnik subculture. In some European countries, public hardbass scenes have emerged over time . At these events, the participants dance masked to the music and make use of the " Moshing " dance based on the pogo . Since 2015, Hardbass has become an internet phenomenon and in the video “Cheeki Breeki Hardbass Anthem” it is portrayed as a Russian and Slavic culture.
