Hardemo

Hardemo is a village in the Hardemo municipality in Kumla in the historic Närke province in Sweden . The place is five kilometers west of Kumla and four kilometers northwest of Hallsberg .

In Hardemo is the Hardemo Church with towers from the 11th century. Next to the church is the well of St. Olof . According to tradition, Olof baptized the first members of the Hardemo parish. In the village there is also the Church School , a brick building from 1903, today Elementary and junior high school.

The Hardemo area is rich in ancient remains. Here you can find the burial mounds at Tillerbacken and Torshögen west of Skyberga. The latter is Närke's largest Iron Age hill .

One of the most noticeable occurrences of drumlins in Sweden is located near Hardemo .

Hardemo and the drum area have been described as of national interest to the cultural environment.

The children's books about Hedvig by Frida Nilsson are in Hardemo.
